High in the hills of Darjeeling, beneath the slopes of Tiger Hill, lies the Pussimbing tea garden. This fine Darjeeling Pussimbing Green Tea offers a beautifully delicate expression of a region much better known for its celebrated black teas.
Carefully produced from fine Darjeeling leaf, the tea infuses to a bright green cup with a smooth, gentle character and a natural sweetness. Light and refined rather than strongly grassy, it is an elegant green tea that showcases the distinctive delicacy of high-grown Darjeeling tea.
Pussimbing is situated in the Ghoom area of Darjeeling, with the garden extending across elevations of approximately 1,500 to 2,200 metres. Its name is commonly translated from the Lepcha language as ‘place of streams’, reflecting the numerous mountain streams that run through the estate.
For green tea drinkers looking beyond the more familiar teas of China and Japan, Darjeeling Pussimbing Green Tea makes an intriguing alternative: gentle, fresh and beautifully easy to drink.
