Women-led cooperative in the highlands of Sumatra
This area is known for its top arabica beans in Indonesia. Grown on volcanic soil, the gayo coffee grown here is very distinct and reminds of Ethiopia and Latin America. It has floral notes but still retains the spicy characteristics of a Sumatran Arabica.
With an altitude of over 1,400m and carefully grown by local farmers, this is one of the best Indonesian coffees.
Strength:
strong, dark italian roast
