Speak friend and enter – Mellon!
Ok, I must admit, it took me a while to finally get the joke or the meaning of this new name for the tea, which my lovely staff threw at me.
For those, who are also wrecking their brains, it is a quote from “Lord of the Rings”, when Gandalf and the rest of the group were standing in front of the gates to the mines of Moria. The inscription read, “speak “friend” and enter”. The Elvish word for “friend” is “Mellon.”
So, what does this have to do with the tea? The taste! It is in the taste! It tastes of melon. I can hear you groan, but it’s good, right?
