Tea is a popular beverage enjoyed by millions of people around the world. It is made from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant and is known for its various health benefits. There are many types of tea, including black, green, white, and herbal tea. Each type has a unique flavour and contains different amounts of caffeine and antioxidants.
In some cultures, tea is not just a beverage but a part of tradition and socialization. It is often served with snacks or meals and is a way to bring people together.
Our Island Range brings to you wonderful teas that will remind you of your stay in the Outer Hebrides. Most of them are unique to the Hebridean Tea Store.

Night Cafe by Vincent van Gogh is beautifully decorated with the famous painting by the Dutch artist. Vincent van Gogh paintings are trendy today. It is a shame that he was not recognized as the fabulous artist he was while still alive. The Night Cafe is also known as Cafe Terrace at Night. Van Gogh always wanted to paint a picture at night. Here in this painting, we can also see the stars in the sky, which he later used for his painting, the starry night.
Another of van Gogh’s brilliant paintings has found its way to sport on these delicate porcelain mugs. “Café Terrace at Night” is the original title of the painting, but most people know it as the Night Cafe.
A real eye-catcher with vibrant colours. The mug comes with a presentable gift box. If you want to treat yourself or give it to someone as a present, it is a lovely mug with stunning artwork and is very elegant.
This stylish mug can be used for tea or coffee, or any other beverage of your choosing. Our Van Gogh collection also includes the Starry Night and Almond Blossom
In a letter to his sister, van Gogh wrote: “…But it’s the only way of getting away from the conventional black night with a poor, pallid and whitish light, while in fact a mere candle by itself gives us the richest yellows and oranges.”
And indeed. The colours used for his painting make the terrace and the house the focal point in yellow and orange. “This is a night painting without black, with nothing but beautiful blue and violet and green and in this surrounding the illuminated area colours itself sulfur pale yellow and citron green.”(“Vincent van Gogh Biography, Art, and Analysis of Works”. The Art Story. Retrieved 2017-08-24.)
The painting is housed at the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo (Netherlands)
