The Hebridean Tea Store is among the Great Taste Award 2016 winners of 2016 and we are proud as punch!
Great Taste, the world’s most coveted food awards, which celebrates the very best in food and drink, has announced the Great Taste stars of 2016.
Among the winners is The Hebridean Tea Store on the Isle of Lewis. The store has been awarded a Great Taste award for its Rhubarb Custard Fruit Infusion, which the judges called a “clever blend”.

Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected international food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers in the world. As well as being a badge of honour, the unmistakeable black and gold Great Taste label is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product. Over 10 000 products are judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, with food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs and producers as well a host of food writers and journalists taking part.
“Right from the start the Rhubarb Custard Fruit Infusion was in demand,” explained Sabine Weiten, tea-blender and owner of the Hebridean Tea Store. “This infusion is enjoyed by all ages, and like all other fruit infusions is a healthy alternative to sugary fizzy drinks.
