Shipping to EU and NI suspended

Shipping to EU and NI for organic teas suspended until further notice

It is with great regret that we will have to suspend our shipping of organic teas to Europe and Northern Ireland for the foreseeable future.

The reason is that with Brexit the red tape is too much for me to be sorting out at the moment, with all the other things I have to deal with.

According to the OF&G, the body for organic certification, I am no longer able to export/send my products (in this case organic loose leaf tea) to the EU or Northern Ireland. Unless the organic teas I buy are processed here in the UK (and some other registration things), I am no longer able to ship them to the EU or NI. Processing does not mean packaging and labelling.

These regulations were not there, when the UK still was a member of the EU.

I know that you would not like it and I am really sorry, but at the moment my hands are tied. I just had the written confirmation this morning

I am afraid that from the process you describe at the present time you would not be able to submit a COI to us to export to either the EU/NI.

We are trying to find ways for this to be rectified and as soon as we have information we will notify licensees via the Technical Newsletter.
